Message history

Your history is stored encrypted with a recovery key held only by you. It is needed to read your messages on a new device.

Storage

When the limit is reached, your oldest attachments are removed automatically. You can choose what to remove yourself instead.

Mentions

Somebody who is not a contact can only mention you while you are in the channel with them, whatever these say.

Sounds

Play sounds for messages, calls and sharing Loudness

Sounds are generated on your device; nothing is downloaded. Changing the loudness plays a sample so you can hear it. Your device's own volume still applies on top of this.

Changing it signs out every other device, which is how you shut out one you no longer trust.

Delete account

Removes your account, your messages and your uploads.

The encrypted copies of your history go with them.

It cannot be undone, and nobody can recover it afterwards.
